"Could Have Been Better..."
3 stars"

My friend bought the game for me about 2 weeks ago, after installing and paatching the game, finally getting into some battles in the single player mode, i was rather dissapointed, the space battles were awesome! but like someone else said, would have been better in total 3d, not how it was.

The land battles are very bland and repeditive, i expected more on the land battles, maps are very small and constraining, like the population cap.

Could have been alot better in my opinion, but also fun to pass some time with if your a star wars fan.

"Beautiful game. Can't go wrong."

The graphics were something to be amazed by. I run a very high end system and the Antialiasing just boosts the overall appearance of all spacecraft. Even the land units look excellent with Antialiasing on max.

After reading various reviews and reports on forums, I understand why the game doesn't allow massive fleets etc, but the modding community has fixed all this to allow armadas of star destroyers.

There's no comparrison to any other games when it comes to this one, no other game I know of allows Space AND Land battles. I've played alot of other Space RTS games, but this one has just been so much more fun.

I give it a 4/5 stars, it would have been 5 if they added 3D surround space battles.

But unfortunately this game falls well short.

I was hoping for a 3D game with great graphics and an unbound 3D environment where large fleets of Emperial Star Destroyers could wreck havoc on the Universe lead by the Dath Vader etc… The problem though is the very small maps and the unit capping. Also in space you cannot move in 3D! How painful this is. After experiencing the Homeworld environment and graphics this is horrid and very disappointing. Star Wars theme using the Homeworld engine would be far better!

Planet side battles are rather dull and limiting too…
