The second of a series of separate RPGs based on the original trilogy of Star wars movies. This focuses on being part of the Rebellion, and as such tends to be about military missions. There are a good variety of career options and a selection of alien species you can play, including Droids. The physical aspects of the book are very high quality, but you will need to get dice or a dice-rolling app to play it.
Fantasy Flights, Star Wars: Age of Rebellion brings a galaxy far far away a little closer to home. It can be played as a stand alone or in tandom with Edge of the Empire its companion game. Before I had purchased this series I had never played a game let alone run a game but with these rules and the unique and interesting mechanics of the dice I have sucessufully been running a game with a group of 5+ players for over a year. I would recommend anyone just starting out to purchase the beginners games first and if you enjoy them as much as me, the core rule books are a must have.
