This is book 2 of the Original Thrawn trilogy. This was published before Disney bought Star Wars and honestly, this trilogy should have been Episode 7, 8 and 9. It's amazing!

The story continues as Thrawn, a Grand Admiral unknown to the New Republic, prepares his attack against the enemies of the Empire. Both the New Republic and the Empire are in need of ships. Read as both sides learn about “The Dark Force”. An enormous fleet of warships lost before the Clone Wars.
