Follow the adventures of the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the timeline based on the new movies as they continue their five-year mission of discovery into unchartered space. In "Deity" the crew arrives at the previously unexplored planet Banks-216, sending an away team that becomes exposed when a massive alien ship arrives in orbit. Then, Captain Kirk and the crew are about to encounter their strangest discovery yet... themselves, in the Mirror-Mirror storyline "Live Evil." Plus, the ship faces off with a renegade faction of Orions intent on disrupting the truce between their species and the Federation in "Reunion." In "Legacy of Spock" the elder Spock joins the last survivors of Vulcan to search the galaxy for a new home. And in "Connection" the crew come into contact with a ship that looks eerily familiar. Collects the final 13 issues, #48-60, of the first Star Trek ongoing series from IDW.

Author Biography:

A highly imaginative and engaging writer who's written stories for some of the biggest characters in comic book history, including Batman and Superman, Mike Johnson has the distinction of having scripted more Star Trek comic book stories than any writer ever. Johnson's first work for IDW was in 2009, when he wrote the miniseries Star Trek- Countdown, a well-received prequel to the 2009 J.J. Abrams film. He would follow that with many more Star Trek stories, including Khan, Starfleet Academy, Nero, the crossover Star Trek/Green Lantern, and both of IDW's ongoing Star Trek series, most recently Boldly Go with artist Tony Shasteen. A lifelong Trekfan, his favorite characters are Data and Spock. Tony Shasteen has been an illustrator and graphic designer since graduating from the Art Institute of Atlanta with a degree in Visual Communications. His work has been featured in publications such as Communication Arts, Playboy, and Spectrum. He lives in the tranquil suburbs of Atlanta with his wife, two sons, and as many cats as possible.
