Very good follow up from the first two, just waiting number 4 come out.

New places, new races.. It was interesting to see how the crew of the Enterprise fared when they had to rely on each other and not so much on their ship. Also it was refreshing to see the writers explore the reactions of those who were not so keen on the creation of the Federation at the start. And I loved the increased depth to Dr. Bones McCoy.

My only beef is with the Bluray disc itself – there are trailers to other movies that auto-start when it is inserted. It reminds me of the bad old days when distributors put together special rental versions of DVDs that came with the obligatory advertising at the front. Whereas a purchased version used to contain only the feature and a heap of extras.

I enjoyed watching this one with a good story and background to the main villain of this movie. The visual effects, action scenes and space travel are great.

Really good movie, even better than the second one.
