Oh what could have been rpg fans. I have been waiting for this game for a LONG time. After reading many import reviews and being told about it by my japanese friends I was hyped up for an rpg that would be the equal of FFX (or any final fantasy game). Unfortunately this is not so. Yes, the combat engine is awesome, but for an rpg you will be doing little combat, much more standing around listening to the terrible voice acting of an average story. Or you will be running around exploring a 3d map with average graphics(almost downright poor in parts).

Why oh why couldnt they stick to drawn backgrounds with a fixed perspective (ala FF7-FFX-2). The 3d idea falls short and u will be constantly re-adjusting the camera. The music is random, you will go from Soothing Orchestral music while escaping from an invading space army, to full on rock tunes while wandering around a peaceful forest. WTF?

I have played many rpgs this year, Legaia 2, Suikoden 3, Xenosaga Ep1, ShadowHearts, FFX, FFX2 and I am sad to say that all of the above are better than Star Ocean Till the end of time.

"The Best Game ever!"
5 stars"

Ah, well im still on first disc, but it feels like ive been playing for hours (well like 19 or 20 hours to tell the truth) and im abit past halfway on disc 1, a friend off mine, whos doing everything is on like over 120+ and completed the game and is just doing all the extras

the Grapfics are sexeh, music some are ok, some sound like crap… battle system really fun, more fun then any other RPG. Story, i just love it soo damn much, mainly at one part, that was so awsome (a movie in the game FMC) sent chills down my spin.

im loving it. i think its a must get!

its either this or half life 2, for my fav game. Well probly both.
