I can't say anything about the storyline…cause I have no idea what their talking about (playing JAP version).
The battle system is great basically, and for you guys, you get to have a bonus VS mode.
The graphics are like-real; the characters, towns/cities, everything.
Overall, awesome, except for usual glitches, not sure about the PAL version though, this is just personal experience.
This game should be pretty good – for those of you who have not played star ocean or maybe havent even heard of it – is quite different to your turn based strategy games like FF. Instead of attacking when its your turn you are able to move around freely like just attacking everything @ random.
I expect the story will be pretty average so im relying on the battle system to keep me interested.
the graphics should be as good as anything else on ps2 – not amazing but not too bad either
ive been waiting ages for the english translation as it has been out in jap for over 2 years now. They have just constantly delayed it(like pretty much everything else worh playing on ps2)
the score i gave it is a reflection of this and is subject to change however the japs seemed to think it was pretty good so i hope it lives up to my expectations.
i think after playing a game like star ocean you look @ FF games in a different light – you still play them but they are just not as innovative.
i look foward to it........
