This lady died February 7, 1854, leaving a young son, Daniel Willard. In December, 1855, Dr. Bennett married again, his bride being Miss Helen Maria Shel don, daughter of Jonathan Dwight Sheldon, of Barre, Orleans county, New York. In 1863 he removed to Saginaw, Michigan, where his skill as a physician and high qualities as a man made him many friends and brought him into deserved prominence.
