The funniest and bestest season ever! The first time we met Cartman and Stan and the rest – including the aliens! Have you been anal probed?

Of course the first season is a must for all the die-hard fans like myself, but we can also admit that it was just the beginning of the development of the humour that we now come to associate with South Park. The characters are at their most raw- we do not yet have the Cartman we have all come to know and love. In this series he is, sadly, not nearly so morally reprehensible.

While there are a few quotable gems I do not count this season among my favourites and I doubt you will either. Of course, one of the things that dropped away as time went on is present here- and that is matt and trey introducing the episodes. Their introductions are quite amusing!
