EMERALD ANNIVERSARY
The jewelry that Rouge had her eyes on is sold and disappears from the showcase of the jewelry shop. Rouge, suspecting that it may have been a Chaos Emerald, goes with Topaz to look for the jewelry. Chris’s father had bought a ring at the jewelry shop (actually a Chaos Emerald) as a gift for his wife for their wedding anniversary.
That day, Chris’s mother, an actress is filming at a studio. Mr. Thorndike calls Chris, Chuck and the leader of the S-Team to the studio. He is secretly planning to hold a surprise party. In the meantime, Rouge and Topaz follow Mr. Thorndike who had bought the jewelry, and come along to the studio. There, they eavesdrop about the party. Just at that time, because of the Chaos Emeralds responding to each other, Sonic and the others realise that Mr. Thorndike has a Chaos Emerald, but decide not to say anything until after the surprise party.

HOW TO CATCH A HEDGEHOG
Sonic gets into a battle with Eggman’s robot E-88, who kidnaps Amy from a ranch. Although Sonic defeats his opponent, something goes into his ear at that time. Not aware of it happening, Sonic returns to Chris’s house. However, the object in Sonic’s ear responds to the remote control of the garage that Tanaka operates, and Sonic suddenly goes berserk.

A DASTARDLY DEED
Sonic, Chris and the others are on board X Tornade again today to look for the last Chaos Emerald. At about the same time, Eggman, using his robot E-77 also goes out looking for the Chaos Emerald. However, as soon as E-77 goes off, it falls in the mountains and cannot get back on its feet. It is rescued by Knuckles who just happens to pass by. Knuckles, who sees Egg Fort 2 on the other side, comes up with an idea. Maybe he could join hands with Eggman in order to return to the world from which he came. He figures that the fastest way to get back, is to collect the Chaos Emeralds. The following day, Chris is dazed out at school. Mr. Stewart, who is worried about Chris, takes him to the infirmary and hears him out. He finds out that Chris is feeling depressed because if the last Chaos Emerald is found, and Chaos Control occurs, Sonic and the others will go back to their world. Mr. Stewart, forgets his duty and sympathises with Chris. He remarks, “It’s just one of the pains of growing up......â€
