I am a big fan of the old school 16 bit days when sonic was in his prime but now sonic has had a rough ride and has been a tough transition in to the new 3rd world of gaming.

I was really excited about this game because it actually looked so promising the graphics are great, the feeling of going at super high speeds is there and all the characters are there with a the addition of a few new.

Playing the game is really fun and I really enjoyed it. The story mode is great with good cut scenes and there are plenty of extras for 2-player head to head action

The only thing that stops this from being a truly great title is the controls are a bit of a let down where you have to have pin point precession on the corners of you feel like your in a pin ball machine and trying to land rails is near impossible. (Very frustrating because you need to be able to do a series of rails in a row in the side missions.)

Overall it's a decent racing game.
