Author Biography:

Tony Scrase lives in Bristol and has published several books on Wells. He was a founder member of what became the Department of Town and Country Planning at Bristol Polytechnic, where he became Principal Lecturer. When the department became part of the Faculty of the Built Environment at the University of the West of England, he became a member of the Faculty's School of geography.
