If you've played the ps2 Soldier of fortune this has a similar feel but it plays a lot better. The enviroments look stunning and the weapons handle and feel great. You are a mercenary who performs a series of missions against terrorist orginisations. During game play it's impossible to get lost as a guiding cursor is always on hand to assist you in the right direction and even the distance when in range of the target The levels can seem a little repetitive but the locations help keep it fresh. SOF has been rated as a poor cousin to some titles. To be sure it's no “Resistance of man” but I liked this game. A rule of thumb I use is does it have the “hard to put down” feel and this certainly did for me. Nifty features such as choosing your weapons and customising them prior to each mission help personalise the levels. Don't expect a lot of immersive plot here just lots of mindless destruction This is a good solid FPS and well worth the purchase. Be warned that the violence can be very graphic.
