Under a Clause in the Articles dealing with the Application of Funds all entrance fees of new Members, life membership subscriptions, and donations made, and sums bequeathed to the Society (except such donations or bequests as shall be accompanied by directions to the contrary), together with such other sums as Shall be decided by the Society in General Meeting, must be placed to the credit of the Society's Capital Account, and the Council of Management has no power, without the consent of Members, to devote these funds to any other purposes than those specified in the Clause Of the Memorandum Of Association dealing with the leasing or erection and the equipment of a theatre for the use Of the Society.
