This is a great remake of the classic game Pirates! which was one of my favourite C64 games.
The gameplay, graphics, and music are great, although the land based combat can be a little tedious. Another feature I have found good after playing the game for a while is the ability to skip the cut scenes, as they do tend to get a little repetitive after a while.
In general, I have found this to be an enjoyable game, which I consider to be well worth the money spent on the game.
I remember the first time I ever saw the original Pirates! game and that was many many moons ago on a C64… fell in love with it immediately but didnt own a computer myself at the time… then I finally got an Amiga500+ and played the Amiga version of Pirates!… loved it to death… my machine was never turned off in fear of forgetting to save the game.
Long as this new version keeps with the playability of the original versions, then this will kick a** and I can say goodbye to sleep for many days…
