Any fan of turn-based RPGs will find something to like here, provided they don't mind frequent random encounters. Even if you don't, the dungeons are relatively short, and the unconventional story is well worth the grind. The demon negotiation system has more depth here than in other parts of the series, as well. Indeed, many features not seen in Shin Megami Tensei are introduced here, meaning long-time fans of the franchise have a few pleasant surprises to look forward to. The graphics are not great but they are far from bad. Just don't expect anything of the likes of Nocturne or IV. In short, an old-school RPG with everything fans of SMT love, but with enough fresh material to interest both newcomers and veterans.
