The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde (1886), features a benevolent and intelligent doctor who turns into a monster after drinking a drug intended to separate good from evil. Kidnapped (1886) is a historical novel centred on a boy called David Balfour's during the Jacobite troubles in Scotland. The Black Arrow: A Tale of the Two Roses (1888) is a historical romance and adventure novel set during the Wars of the Roses. The Master of Ballantrae (1889), is a breathtaking tale of revenge, set in Scotland, America, and India. Catriona (1893), also known as David Balfour, is a sequel to Kidnapped, and tells of David Balfour's further adventures. These stories are exciting and masterful, a great addition to any bookshelf.
