People comparing this game to DiRT, etc, are doing it a great disservice. Though the McRae franchise has been moving closer and closer to an arcade style and gameplay mechanism as the years plass, it has always intended to be a more realistic take at the rally experience. Sega's title is unashamedly arcadey, and so is pretty successful in terms of its intent. If you like rally gaming, don't think ‘Sega Rally or DiRT?’ … get BOTH. DiRT for when you want a more serious game, and SR for when you just want to blow the cobwebs out and splash some mud about. For what it is, this is a very good game!

"Pretty Average, DiRT is better"

I like this game. But the problem is that Colin Mcae Dirt beats it in every way, hence the reason to buy that instead.

The visuals are ugly compared to Dirt (which features great visuals but a occasionally dodgy framerate)

The Career mode and Sound, Cars, and tracks avaliable is also better in DiRT.

So overall, this game is an 8/10, but I highly reccommend DiRT which I give 9.4/10

easy, and sorta takes the challenge out of rally driving, but the graphics are quite neat and treads put into the ground are very realistic… mcrae is better.
