Sea Monkeys - Ocean Zoo Pack reviews

I bought these because my kids saw them on telly and had no idea what they were. They hatched after a couple of days and the kids watched them for five minutes before getting bored.

Buy the “On Mars” aquarium if you can find it! The “Ocean Zoo” aquarium doesn't include any fun places for the sea monkeys to hide or play, and the “On Mars” one retains oxygen bubbles better in little crevices, and the algæ that grows is so helpful for more oxygen and food production, needed for life. I feel they need to have enrichment like any other pet, so perhaps find tiny fish tank decorations to make life more interesting for them. I bought this particular pack because I wanted some more eggs, and I couldn't find any that would be delivered quickly – so thanks Mighty Ape for that! The eggs hatch over time, I only saw a couple after the first day or two, but within a week or two there seemed to be hundreds. Try shining a little light in, and they will love to chase it around. You'll find how fascinated they are with us, as we are with them – as they look out to you to say hi!

The first time I set up I followed all the instructions and got nothing so just left it sitting for another week and soon enough there was babies! I learnt pretty quickly to only feed them when the water was clear as murky means they have enough food or possibly too much. I am not onto 4th generation sea monkeys and some are a centremetre long now, it so exciting watching them grow and reproduce. This is now my go to birthday gift for family members

I’m 22 so I’m sure I can follow instructions correctly but all I had was a jar of murky water and no sea monkeys.

My niece loves watching the sea monkeys swim around! We were initally worried as there were no ‘instant’ monkeys but in a weeks time we had plenty!! Easy to set up with clear instructions!

Extremely disappointing, I followed the instructions and they didn't hatch at all.
