This text aims to provide a twenty first century analysis of family law. It will provide an important source of material for undergraduate teaching by reflecting recent significant changes in family law and by promoting further debate about families, law and relationships. It will do so in a number of ways including adopting a thematic approach to topics which encourages thinking outside the traditional boxes; incorporating case law, policy and scholarship for analysis and commentary; offering a historical and compararative perspective where appropriate.
