The "Longman Science 11-14" series consists of three pupil's books - one each for chemistry, physics and biology. They contain all the material needed to teach pupils between the ages of 11 and 14. The series covers the Key Stage 3 National Curriculum for Science in England and Wales, the 13+ Common Entrance Syllabuses and Scottish Environmental Studies Guidelines 5-14 up to Level F. Each book: motivates and extends more able pupils through an academic and rigorous approach, delivered through a colourful and easy-to-use design; reinforces and consolidates learning through questions, summaries and investigations; develops scientific knowledge and use of vocabulary with fact boxes and a glossary; and puts science into context both historically and in the modern world.
