Graphics are no where near as good as other 360 titles, but its just so much fun. Planning the battles, managing your empire, I reccomend it.

The Samurai Warriors franchise runs as a parallel Japanese version to the widely popular Dynasty Warriors franchise. While these games can be popular, they are often rather averagely made.

The benefit of Samurai Warriors 2: Empires is that instead of playing through very linear, often dull historical battles, this game allows the player to control different regions of feudal Japan. This allows for more game-play options and also allows a greater dynamic to be added. The decisions are yours to make; create large armies to vanquish enemy regions or use diplomacy and alliances to conquer Japan and make it your empire.

Unfortunately the graphics in Samurai Warriors 2: Empires leaves much to be desired. However, mediocre graphics aside, there is still the rather basic albeit entertaining game-play that fans of Dynasty Warriors will love and more of the almost painful, cheesy voice-overs that will guarantee a laugh.

While this game may be lacking some of the essentials, it still lives up to the Dynasty Warriors/Samurai Warriors franchise and thanks to the new setting and the added feature of building up an empire, players of Samurai Warriors 2: Empires are sure to enjoy it.
