Author Biography:

PETA MURRAY is a graduate of the NSW School of Drama and has a Diploma of Education from the University of Sydney. She began work as a high-school teacher of English and History, and was involved with fringe and community theatre throughout her teaching career. She has worked as an actor, writer and director in street and community theatre, stand-up comedy, theatre-in-education and feminist revues. Her playwriting credits include The Procrastinator, Wallflowering, Spitting Chips (winner of the 1990 AWGIE award), The Diver, This Dying Business, Rubbish, The Flying Flops and Salt. Murray has taught writing at the University of Western Australia Extension Service and spent eight weeks as Writer in the Community at Araluen Centre for Arts and Entertainment in Alice Springs in 1991.
