I have watched this movie twice – once, the first time round because someone told me about it, secondly because I found it unbelievably untrue – I just wanted to make sure that my eyes and brain hadn't played a trick on me. Honestly – this isn't a movie to watch more than that. You don't want to take their ideals – basically, just pure hatred – on board. It was originally made (so the director says) to put people off skinheads… In actuality, all he did was made people more obsessed by this underground, and totally outrageous culture.
This movie is just a really sad view of people. No one is ‘redeemed’ – it culminates in a horrific blood bath… There is no good message of hope for change. None of the characters have redeeming features.
There really isn't much of a story – it is simply about a couple of skinheads who beat up a couple of Asian youths and go on the run from the police… It is hardly compelling viewing – the ‘shock factor’ is simply what they stand for. And even that isn't really explained in this.
I like it because it is Australian and doesn't have the American gloss factor… But that, I would say, is its only redeeming feature.
Don't waste your money purchasing it – I can't imagine anyone wanting to watch it more than twice. And if you do own this, what message are you sending to friends and family-
