"Great Construction Series for kids!"
5 stars"

This book is much loved by our Playcentre – simple rhyming and great illustrations make it perfect for noise makers of any age :) Check out ‘Demolition’, ‘Construction’ and ‘Catch That Plane!’ by the same author :)

A book children enjoy reading along to and find the repetition great. The children enjoy listening to this book over and over then reading themselves. Well written.

Description

A boisterous picture book full of noisy fun for machine-mad kids.

Roadworks is made with machine-mad pre-school boys in mind, though girls will also love the exciting noise-words, rhythms and rhymes. Roadworks aims to differ from other machine books in that it shows an actual project being completed from start to finish, in this case, the building of a road.
  • Ideal for machine-mad kids, Roadworks fills the gap in the market for good machine books
  • Picture Book Category Winner, New Zealand Post Children's Book Awards, 2009
  • Includes a pictorial glossary of all the vehicles with a short caption of what each machine does
