One of my all time favourite sci-fi novels. The translation is very well done, and includes elements censored in the original publishing. AÂ great read for any fan of sci-fi.

As close to the original as you'll find in english, it even contains an illuminating afterword by Boris Strugatsky discussing the edifice of Soviet censorship, culturally significant given the amount of contemporary derivative works.
