Returning home for her mothers funeral, Copper Michelson is left a letter. A letter that asks her to come home and be strong for her twin brother and father. Annoyed that her mother refused to allow her to be notified of her illness, Copper's fiery nature takes over. After a misunderstanding with Jack the new ranch foreman, Copper makes his life uncomfortable with her sharp tongue and quick wit. Total opposites in everything but two things, their love of horses and the ranch Copper grew up on. Copper's abilities with horses leaves Jack in awe and the deep bond she has with her brother and father strengthens the Michelson family and once again puts a light back in their lives. Dropped in at the deep end, Copper finds herself taking care of Jack's nephew and by chance finds a book belonging to him with sketches of herself drawn in pencil. Is this what Copper is looking for or does a riding accident put an end to what could be a happy ending for all of them?
