By Season 4Â the writers and actors in this excellent show had hit their stride and were confident enough to start playing around with new ideas. Season 4Â provides all the ingenuity you would expect from such a high-ranking show. They address some big issues (rape and the KKK for example) and while they may not cover all the bases or find all the answers, at least they weren't afraid to ask the questions. On the less serious side, each new episode can create comedy as well as drama, and the Al-Sam relationship is at the same time comfortable, sparky and intriguing, as usual. This season is compelling from start to finish.
