Author Biography:

Alexander Laing is a barrister practising exclusively in family law from Coram Chambers, a specialist family law set in London. He is the Young Barrister of the Year: Family Law Awards 2016. Alex has already had 19 published articles across a range of publications, including Family Law (journal), Family Law (online), Family Law Week and Bloomsbury Law Online. His written work has been quoted and endorsed by the President of the Family Division, Sir James Munby. Dr Bianca Jackson is a family law barrister at Coram Chambers. She practices in all areas of children law, and has a particular expertise in surrogacy law and legal parenthood. Dr Jackson has advocated in a number of high profile reported cases in both the High Court and the Court of Appeal, and frequently publishes and lectures on issues in family law. In 2015, she won the Family Law Pro Bono Lawyer of the year, and in 2016 was shortlisted for the Young Barrister of the Year. Prior to joining the Bar, Dr Jackson taught at the University of Oxford and worked with the Women’s Initiative for Gender Justice at the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
