Very good! – but not quite excellent…

I tried to find reviews on this product before purchasing. The closest I could find were reviews about a Capcom supplied d-pad attachment that was shipped with SF Alpha MAX3 (SF:A).

The reviews on the Capcom d-pad were very harsh on many sites claiming it did not make a difference … well this d-pad does. After playing a few rounds of SF:A (with the d-pad attached) I found typical Capcom fighter commands (fireballs / dragons etc) much easier. I was not as accurate at pulling the commands off as I was in the arcade (in my distant youth) but this maybe more to do with my skills than the d-pad attachment :)

My only gripe is that the pad does move around a bit while playing, you need to play with a light thumb to avoid it moving too much. Perhap stronger sticky pads can be applied to fix this issue.

All in all I recommend this to all Capcom fighter fans.
