Description

Downplaying the emphasis on abstraction, the book broadens the field of study towards algebraic structures and methods that are essential for current and emerging applications. The title Post-Modern Algebra plays on a buzzword that started in the Humanities and on the fact that the classic in the field is van der Waerden's Moderne Algebra, published over sixty years ago. The authors' goal is to present this more universal approach as an effective and indispensable tool for solving real world problems.
