The best game I've ever played on a hand held console !

This has been the Pokemon game that I dreamed about when I was 10 years old playing Red/blue. It was the game I was hoping Nintendo would release on the N64, Gameboy & Wii… but as I am older and “wiser” I have come to love the portability of the gameboy. With a 3DSXL. The screen is big enough to enjoy the graphics and beautiful game play that X&Y have to offer. Gamefreak has perfected a franchise that I thought was perfect to begin with. Stop reading this and go out and buy it!!! XD

This has to be the best handheld game I've played since Diamond and Pearl came out in 2007.

Fantastic game. There's really not much else to be said. It's relatively seamless, connecting to friends and strangers is super easy, there's a large community, and the graphics are gorgeous.

Have not really delved into a Pokemon game that much since Pokemon Silver on the Gameboy Color, so have no real comparisons to how the game has evolved over the years. This however has been a great way to relieve those countless hours playing Pokemon as a child, and is relatively easy to jump back into and begin playing. I definitely recommend this to Pokemon fans both new and old.

I have been waiting for Nintendo to do a polygon based, cell shaded Pokemon for a very long time. I kept waiting for a console version to materialise. The wait got longer and longer.

Until this gem was released. At first I was sceptical. Could this game be the title I was waiting for- It was on a handheld rather than a console, would it live up to my hopes-

And it does. Pokemon rendered in 3D glory. You have around 200 odd Pokemon on this cartridge, with the other 518 available via online trades or from your own Black 1/2 or White 1/2. The total available Pokemon from every generation via a ladder of trades from one game up to the next, takes the total number of ‘pocket monsters’ to 718. So once you finish this games Pokedex, for the Kalos region, you'll unlock the other region's 'dex to fill. Let the collecting and trading begin.

This is the perfect Pokemon game for any fan. I couldn't recommend it more. 45 hours in, I feel like I have barely scratched the surface.

this game is fun and great to play

3-D looks beautiful, although can be a bit laggy during battle scenes. Doesn't matter, best Pokemon game yet. Must have for any 3DS owners.

Graphics much improved from previous Pokemon games.

I got this game on the midnight release, and it's honestly so amazing! I've followed the Pokemon series since the beginning, and it's awesome to watch it transform. The battle animations, fluid graphics and similar but still compelling storyline just draws you. I've really enjoyed becoming a PokeMaster all over again in this game!

As the summary says, the game itself is a welcome and awesome addition to the Pokemon franchise and I thoroughly enjoy it asides from some music changes which was removed from this version which was a bit sad to see, although my rating is poor because of the service which Mightyape had supplied me with, giving me a European copy which I assume means the game has been imported or something along the lines of that.

Funtastic game to play in 3D, with all the nastalgic first generation pokemon favourites like charmander, squirtle, bulbasaur and pikachu.

Good game, much easier to get into and enjoy. Even the finer aspects of raising a competitive team is easier now. Your rivals and plot leave a little to be desired, but the games have always been about the Pokemon, and here they shine.

Pokemon X for the 3ds is a wonderful addition to the Pokemon World. Making small but drastic additions to the battling system and bringing the creatures and the world in a 3d environment has revitalized the series for Nintendo's newest console. For those who enjoy the Pokemon formula and wondering on the new game- Get it!

Having played and owned the previous Pokemon game series installments, I was keen to add this one to the collection! Never fails to disappoint, as this game provides a well-thorough storyline and different game features than previous games. Not to mention being able to do heaps of other activities that stray away from the main storyline for a few minutes or a couple of hours! Definitely worth the purchase :)

Pokemon has gone to a whole new level and [finally] having the ability to customise your character makes it all the better.

Such an awesome game! and much better than the gen that came before it! Great new concepts like mega evolution and a 3D environment add a completely different look to the world. Best Poke'mon game so far (And I've been playing them all for well over a decade)

Great game, addictive

I was playing and then thought, dayuuummmmm this is a good game

This game is fantasic, there are not the right words to explain how amazing my pokemon experience was when I playing this game. I got my copy of X about a week and a few days ago, I have about 50 hours clocked in already. And as with most Pokemon games there is still heaps to do after you defeat the Elite Four and the Champion. BUT the only problem with this game is that it's Elite Four is far too easy. Overall a great game and a fantasic addition to the series.

Yet another edition to a amazing series with more good updates in both graphics and game-play. Pokemon designs may be getting less new but it does not take from the game at all. A good purchase if you like Pokemon.

Having played all original pokemon this one hands down beats the rest! Well worth it.

Well, X did not disappoint and the gameplay -mega evolutions!- is amazing. Honestly I would recommend this to any Pokemon fan, if you're leaning towards x, take the leap :)

With new Pokemon and plenty of the old, this game is amazing. Turning Pokemon 3D was a great choice to change things up with Pokemon without changing the winning formula.

If you thought you knew Pokemon, think again. Pokémon X will undoubtedly be one of the greatest 3ds games to ever be made, and if you've followed the series since day one, you will be blown away by how much time and care has been put into this. Worth every cent, so don't miss out!

For the past few generations we have had multiple pokemon games and most of them were pretty good. This game is one of the few which is on the 3DS. The visuals look great for battles as they're rendered in 3D but suffer from a slight frame loss. The overworld can be explored with diagonal movement but isn't in 3D. The gameplay itself of the story is fine buried is t really draw me I to it until the end. The best feature that GameFreak included was the online play. We can trade and battle with random people and friends. It's basically a Pokemon MMO. Overall I would say that this is a must buy for the competitive fans but may not appeal to the casual player as they might not enjoy some of the aspects like super training or IV breeding.

Well worth buying! If you're a fan of the series, you definitely need to give this one a try. They've added so much, without ruining what makes Pokemon awesome!

The same fundamental game is here, but the world is bigger add more filled with Pokemon adventure than ever before. And if you haven't heard yet, not only is this a brilliantly realized 3D adventure (turn that 3D slider all the way up for this one), but from the get-go your favourite critters from all the way back to Gen-1 are there for the catching. From someone who has been playing since the beginning, this may be the first game to properly quench the nostalgia of the first time I ever picked up a Pokemon game. It's that good…
