"Sister loves it!"

I got this for my sister for her birthday, and she has been playing non stop practically.

I got Alpha Sapphire, and it is just a blast.

"Relive the Classics"
4 stars"
Purchased on Mighty Ape

This game represents a definitive edition, fully revived the old Ruby and capitalised on it fully, graphics are a major upgrade and the new pokemon battle system along with classic legendaries is a must buy!

"Fun and addictive"

It's a pretty good game, and the first Pokemon game I'm going to fully finish. The storyline isn't a big thing in the game, but it's still pretty good so far, makes me excited to see what's next. The other parts of the game are good too, the Pokemon battles are often but I find them quite easy (Level 30 Pokemon going against level 18–24 is real easy) and the Gym Leaders are difficult if you're not prepared, but it's fun when you finally get that badge! The badges and gym leaders help the storyline as well, which gives you more push to complete it. The only most frustrating things were trying to level a magikarp and accidentally not seeing an exit to a cave, which hinder my progress for a few hours. Overall, it's very good and I'd suggest it to anyone over the age rating.

"Playing for 19 years and it just keeps getting better!"

Having played this for a little over 28 hours and successfully beaten the E4, found majority of Legendaries in Mirage Spots, got given a Johto starter (Tododile because beast) and already having over 140 Pokemon in the National Dex (trading has come in very useful on many occasions) I keep finding myself wanting more! And with Hoopa still not being officially obtainable as yet it seems that gen 4 remake is more and more likely especially since Cresselia is available via Crescent Isle but there's no mention of Darkrai. I'm suspecting Mega Darkrai to be available in an update and remake. The timeline though has become confusing and it appears as if ORAS is set to take place before X&Y; this isn't really that confusing but there are several comments from NPC's about alternate worlds/dimensions where Mega Evolution isn't possible (gens 1–5). Hoopa seems to be able to explain a lot of this but I won't spoil anything for those looking to give this game a go.

To sum up: Omega Ruby is an awesome game as always by GF, TPC, Nintendo but as well as the usual storyline of the game it seemed to constantly hinted at more to come and I for one can't wait!

Protip: get both or have a friend willing trade over legendaries from Alpha Sapphire, as always there are game exclusive Pokemon but some Legendary Pokemon aren't obtainable without other Legendary Pokemon (OR will let you get Palkia, AS will let you get Dialga but you need both to get Girantina).

Also if you're looking to decide between Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire it should come as no surprise that they're basically the same. A few of the Omega Ruby exclusives include Groudon, Latios, Ho-Oh, Palkia, and others while Alpha Sapphire consists of their respective counterparts.

Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire will take players on a journey like no other as they collect, battle and trade Pokémon while trying to stop a shadowy group with plans to alter the Hoenn region forever.

  • Embark on a new adventure through the Hoenn region, an area rich in natural beauty, that contains a cave that shows a scene described in legends.
  • Experience the awe of Primal Reversion, a new, extremely powerful transformation undergone by Legendary Pokémon Groudon and Kyogre.
  • Get even closer to solving the mysteries of Mega Evolution as more Pokémon gain this powerful ability.
