Author Biography:

Doug was born in a small rural Midwestern town and lived there until he married in 1956, He went on to earn his Th.D. while fathering ten children, yet still finding time to keep himself physically fit by completing more than one hundred ten full running marathons. His ability to stay focused and organized has enabled him to author fifty plus musical compositions and at the same time, host a twenty three year running television program. Blessed with an innate passion to discover the voice of natural surroundings has given him the opportunity to share, through poetry, insights into areas seldom seen with the naked eye, yet so evident to those seeking answers to the true meaning of life! Fifty two years of marriage has provided helpful experiences that are so vividly woven through the expressive poems set forth in this uniquily compact book.
