"A great read and well worthwhile"

Epic is the word that springs to mind with this book. It is long -(983 pages) but for the scope of the novel it is well justified. It is an engrossing human drama set against the background of the building of a medieval cathedral and its impact on the lives of all who are involved with its construction. Highly recommended.
