Unless you can pick these up for US$20 DO NOT BUY ! What a disgrace that a company like Philips would sell this garbage. I paid AUS$130 and was shocked at the overall sound quality and range – you must sit within 3 metres and directly in front of the transmitter to receive ANY reception.

It seems you can buys these for around US$20-$30 on AMAZON which is about what they are worth…inexplicably they are 4 times this price in NZ and AUSTRALIA! There are many wireless headphones for half the price that have a range of 20m+.....I figured being PHILPS they would be excellent quality, I was wrong.

For comfort I would rate 4.5 out of 5 but I can buy a high quality , comfortable pair of WIRED headphones for $40 – shame on you Philips for selling this rubbish at these prices. Sound quality 3 out of 5. Overall value for money 1 out of 5.

The Phillips SHC2000 cordless head phones function fairly well for being wireless.

I purchased them so I could hear my xbox 360 straight from the audio cables with out using an amp or stereo to boost the sound (the signal is too quiet from the console to be able to use head phones straight from the audio cables)

You need a direct line of sight (unless you bounce the signal off a wall) from the base to the head phones to be able to use them with out any static .

They sit comfortably with the rubber strap, the ear muffs don't fit perfectly, but well enough.

Also if you use any female to female 3.5mm audio jacks, the base tends to cut out.
