I was unable to make sourdough bred, even after decades of successfully making home baked bread. With Pauls book, finally I have learned how to start sourdough and maintain it as a starter for bread and pizza bases. Yummmmmy! Paul Holliwood's book is excellent for lovers of home baked bread, even beginners. It is an inspiration with a wide range of interesting recipes for a variety of breads that can be used on their own or turned into a complete meal. The explanations are simple and clear, making bread baking ever more fun and a foolproof success.

Really good book. I have been making bread for years and Paul has answered a lot of my questions , he explains things so well and doesn't assume that we are all experts. I said I wasn't going to buy anymore cook books, very pleased I broke my own rule.

The son of a baker, Paul Hollywood has shot to fame with his role as a judge on The Great British Bake Off. He worked as Head Baker at exclusive hotels including Cliveden and the Dorchester and he went on to launch The Paul Hollywood Artisan Bread Company, which now supplies Harrods among others.
