Bought specifically because I wanted to replace an old one that holds 800ml. I poured 800ml of liquid in and it started overflowing before I got there. I weighed the amount of water it can hold, and at the absolute max before overflow is 680ml. But with the plunger actually in there it only can hold 600ml without overflow.
The product is nice but it is not 800ml capacity by any measurement (with / without plunger).
This is top quality at a bargain price. I watched some vids on how to make a perfect coffee and one used a stainless steel press. When he tapped its side it sounded tinny & thin. This Ovella is double-walled and when you tap the side it sounds solid. Brews a perfect coffee because it keeps liquid hot while brewing. Also it looks beautiful. Impressed how fast you got it to Tasmania too!
