Out of Blue
Can you explain your place in the Universe?
Mike Hoolihan (Patricia Clarkson) is a homicide detective- its her whole life. Brought up in a series of foster homes, knowing nothing about her origins, her life didn't really begin until she joined the academy. Being police is who she is it- and it makes her feel safe. Hoolihan is called in to investigate the shooting of leading astrophysicist and black hole expert Jennifer Rockwell (Mamie Gummer).
As she ventures further down the path of truth, Hoolihan cannot shake a haunting feeling that there is more than meets the eye in this case leaving her view of the universe and herself precariously unstable.
