Description

Wallace Shawn's never-before-published "Our Late Night" was first seen in London at the Royal Court Theater in 1999 in a production directed by Caryl Churchill. It had premiered in New York in 1975 under the direction of Andre Gregory, where it won an OBIE (the top Off-Broadway Award). "A Thought in Three Parts" created an uproar at its 1977 London premiere directed by Max Stafford-Clark, when it was investigated by the police for its allegedly pornographic content. This volume of two short plays by the cult playwright, Wallace Shawn, is published alongside a season of his work in Spring 2009 at the Royal Court Theater, which includes the world premiere of his latest play, "Grasses of a Thousand Colours", also published by NHB.
