In addition, it was desired to evaluate historic changes in net water use and to compare present net water use with the probable ultimate water requirements set forth in State Water Resources Board Bulletin No. 2, Water Utilization in California. In accomplishing the foregoing purpose, the nature and extent of the various categories of land use in Orange County were determined and unit values of water use were ascertained. Continued studies of this type are a necessary part of the basic data required for proper operation of the ground.water basins and for adequate planning and design of facilities for utilization of imported water.
