Description

Maurice Henry Hewlett (1861-1923) was an English historical novelist, poet and essayist. J. M. Barrie named one of the pirates in Peter Pan "Cecco" after Hewlett's son. According to a New York Times review, Open Country tells the love story of "a deliciously piquant heroine and a hero who is just enough of an Anarchist to have ideas about everything and sane and healthy enough to be admirable."
