The circle pad pro is good. It feels like I'm holding a psp, but it's so ergonomic it feels great to hold. My only complaints are that there are only two games so far that can use this: RE Revelations and MGS 3ds, and that it is a bit chunky making it not so portable. Other than that, I highly recommend it.
To any one who rubbishes this device, please do not believe a word they say. I have almost finished playing through Revelations on the 3DS and have tried both control settings and believe me friends, Once you have tried the Circle Pad Pro you will NEVER go back to just 1 analogue stick.
I have felt many times as though I was playing the latest blockbuster game for XBox 360, only I was in town and no where near my home console. It feels amazing, and the slightly bulky feel and look of the system does not bother me in the least, as it pops out easily from the Circle Pad Pro. I carry a backpack most of the time and both fit with ease in my bag.
If your a hardcore gamer and are serious about Revelations or Snake Eater coming out later on this year, you must get this essential device. My 3DS was going stale after beating both Mario 3DS and MarioKart 3DS, but this has totally given it new life and I'd also go as far as saying Revelations is the BEST game on the 3DS right now. Mightyape need to order more stock of it because more people should be playing it. Its simply amazing.
This is great for playing on games like Metal Gear Solid. I used it and my gameplay just rocketed and it is comfortable to use as well. Its like having an actual controller in your hands. Make sure you use it for the right games
The Circle Pad Pro is a new accessory for Nintendo 3DS, designed to increase the way the player enjoys Nintendo 3DS software. It consists of a shell that the Nintendo 3DS slots into with an additional Circle Pad on the right-hand side (termed “Right Circle Pad” or “Circle Pad ®”) and three shoulder buttons; these are R Button and the new ZR and ZL Buttons.
The player uses his Circle Pad Pro by slotting his Nintendo 3DS console into the accessory; the console will then recognise the accessory via infrared transceiver.
The new accessory allows some Nintendo 3DS software titles to be played more efficiently and comfortably by the use of the new Right Circle Pad (for example, games that are “twin-stick shooters”), as well as offering new features via the new shoulder buttons (depending on software). It is powered by one AAA Battery.
