"Better Than Expected"
4 stars"

I never played the original NiGHTS on the Saturn but I always was intrigued by it. Fast Forward to now. NiGHTS JOD is released and it gets average reviews. I think those reviewers either hate SEGA or they tend to blow things out of proportion. Simply put this is the best SEGA game on the Wii. Monkey Ball and Sonic on the Wii were dissapointments as the controls were terrible and they made sonic an on rails experience. NiGHTS however is different.

I'll get on with the bad first. The voice acting is ok, NiGHTS well lets just say the voice for this character isnt that good. There is a little slowdown sometimes during the second boss battle but it only happened once. The graphics are average in some parts or great in other areas. My Dream has slowdown, and I still havent figured out what to do in it yet. Nights will sometimes fly upwards if you dont fly through his cage on the first mission of every level.

The Good: Controling NiGHTS is a breeze with the Nunchuck scheme. Analouge stick is used to move NiGHTS and A or B or Z is used for the drill dash. Twisting the wiimote allows for some nice acrobatics as well. The music is fantastic. The game has an old school arcade feel to it and it reminds me of SEGA games of old. The missions so far are excellent and I love replaying them to better my ranking. The boss battles are insanely inventive as well and quite bizarre. The game is FUN. Its also addictive. The persona masks are also neat and the rocket mask is extremely fast and makes for some hectic gameplay.

Thank you SEGA you have made a great game on the wii finally despite a few flaws.
