This is a lovely book showcasing New Zealand's best cafe's. Although beautiful to look at, a lot of the recipes are not your typical everyday dinner

Favourite dishes from 50 New Zealand cafes presented in one quintessential Kiwi cookbook. New Zealand's favourite cafes open their recipe books to share best-loved dishes from their menus. As you discover recipes from 50 cafes up and down the country, you'll spot some familiar places and visit others you'd never heard of, and be shown how to recreate their signature breakfasts, brunches, lunches and baked treats. The perfect road trip companion or book to flick through over a flat white; a celebration of our thriving cafi culture and the places, people and food that make it special.

Author Biography

Freelance writer and editor Anna King Shahab fell into, and in love with, writing about food when she started working on the editorial team of Taste magazine. Since 2009 Anna has been on the food team at Metro magazine, which involves the enviable (though she would attest, difficult) duty of judging Auckland's 50 Best Cafes Awards, 50 Best Restaurants Awards and 'cheap eats'. As well as contributing features and recipes to a variety of publications, Anna enjoys exploring New Zealand's cafes and specialty and ethnic food stores.
