Nevis is equally about colour, light, history and hospitality. Its people are warm and extraordinarily courteous. Its built spaces date back to the 17th century and most continue to be in use. It is one of the lesser developed islands and retains a unique and authentic charm.

Author Biography:

Pam Purves is a Canadian photographer and traveller. Following a career in communications, she has turned her full-time attention to fine art photography and writing. She exhibits in New York, Toronto, Asolo, Italy, Nova Scotia and Nevis. She has a column in, In The Hills magazine - a Canadian country living publication. She has been coming to Nevis since 1986 and is now spending the winter season on island.
