This version of NGE has been completely revamped- the image is top quality- no more shaky screen and the sound quality is amazing.It includes all the directors cut episodes as well as the original tv aired episodes. NGE is one of the only anime series I have been able to watch over and over and find out something new that i missed before- it is not just a mech series- but more about the communication between people and the structure of society as well. Hideki Anno is a brilliant director and after watching both versions of NGE the Platinum is without a doubt the best. This breathes new life into one of the best anime series ever. Watch Neon Genesis Evangelion how it is was intended in the best qulity possible.

This is a super bargain!! This price for it is outrageous! the whole platinum set for $80 (what it was when i got it lmao) rather than getting each of the DVD's individually for $30, buy this! If you still havent seen EVA yet, you'll want to see a few episodes first before ya go and decide to buy this set.
