Author Biography

Susan Higginson was born in Southport, Lancashire and gained a first class arts degree from Keele University. She started her career in London where she worked in Public Relations and met her husband.When the family moved to Dorset she became a part-time school and adult education teacher. She has had a life-long interest in crafts and has tried her hand at most of them. She has been teaching needlepoint for over twenty years and written four books on the craft. Each year she enjoys running a Needlepoint for Beginners class at Marlborough Summer School.She enjoys living in the country as she loves walking and watching wlidlife and many of her designs are inspired by nature.She and her husband have two married daughters and four grandchildren.
