Description

In this revision of Ethel's Story, Dr. Michael Yanuck recounts the pivotal events of his final year of medical school. Poised on the brink of leaving medicine, he heeds the invisible call of a beloved acquaintance in her hour of greatest need. Though forever changed by injury and experiences in energy medicine, this confluence of forces brings him back to the fold of conventional medicine. And like his otherworldly vision of being with his beloved, terminally-ill friend, he stands naked on a cloud before the eyes of the medical profession.

Author Biography:

Michael Yanuck MD PhD is a physician-scientist whose groundbreaking research at the National Institutes of Health was the basis for a FDA-approved vaccine for cancer. Following a traumatic leg injury, he returned to medicine. Intent on caring for those most in need, he enlisted in the National Health Service Corps, worked in urban and rural health centers throughout the country, then served native peoples with the Indian Health Service. Currently, he cares for homeless Veterans, and serves as Pain Champion for the Northern California VA. A university professor, he continues to practice bioenergy, which he shares with students, researchers and the general public.
