Description

In life, there are good moments and there are bad moments. Life has a funny way of causing both ups and downs. Welcome to my book! This collection of original poetry is filled with a variety of different tones, each reflecting various changes in the highs and lows of my life up until 2018. We all have ups and downs, and for me, writing poetry has allowed me to find a creative outlet in which I can truly express myself during my ups and downs (hence the title), even if the result is not what others expect. I'm aware that the experiences within this poetry anthology are very subjective, as they are based on my own experiences. But should you choose to read this book, you will come on a journey with me and understand a little of what has made me who I am today. And if you find solace in any of this, then I'm honoured. I hope you enjoy the book.

Author Biography:

Eyar is a poet who has compiled this anthology of original poetry called My Ups and Downs. Eyar uses poetry to express the good and bad moments of his life. He has found a creative outlet through poetry, using it to discuss topics such as his mental health, the realisation of his Cerebral Palsy and his experiences as a transman. Although all poems were written from 2015 to 2018, please note that some poems were written retrospectively. Please also note this collection of poetry only talks about events up until 2018, so be mindful that opinions expressed may have changed after 2018.
